What is Further Data?

We're a company dedicated to serving up financial data in new and innovative ways.

What was that map I just saw?

It's a mashup that combines the visual punch of Google Maps with data from Yahoo Finance. The idea is to capture the general movement of the global equity markets at a glance. Each arrow is matched with an index in the list on the left side of the map. Click either the index in the list or its arrow to get more information.

What financial tools does Further Data have?

Check out here for the basic apps—we'll be adding more shortly as well. If you're more visually oriented you might prefer our Tubes section—we've gathered the most current financial YouTube videos in one convenient page. Clicking the highlighted tags on the bottom right under the main video will give you a new screen of related results. Or if you're in a hurry you can get the latest headlines here.

What exchanges are supported?

We currently provide information on publicly traded companies listed on the following:

  • American Exchange (AMEX)
  • Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE)
  • Toronto Venture Exchange (CVE)
  • New York Stock Exchange (NYSE)
  • NASDAQ

How current is the information?

Our focus is on fundamental, not technical analysis. Prices used in the calculations typically come from the close of the previous trading day. There are exceptions though—our Global Market Watch map on the main page and the quote boxes all work off a delay of approximately 20 minutes.

Do you have a standard disclaimer?

Yes. Please note the data is provided 'as is' and is for informational use only. Further Data makes no recommendations and gives no advice, explicit or implied, regarding the sale or purchase of specific securities. Further Data shall not be liable for any omissions or errors in the data provided herein nor any actions or losses resulting from its use.
